E.S. Fox Ltd has implemented a Project Management Office to enhance the abilities of our project management staff and tools. Working with the IT Department, Operations staff and Management, we are continuing to ensure compliance with standards (including corporate policy and Industry Standards), training and mentoring opportunities are acted upon and evaluation of project success and failure for lessons learned.

Central to our Enterprise System is the job costing module. All other systems integrate directly with job costing including Purchasing, Billings, Equipment Tracking, Payroll and Accounts Payable. Real time updates from all systems allow project staff to see current status of all costs. The ability to drill down to the most detailed transaction, gives complete visibility to project staff.

Many of the systems features are automated and provide small and large projects with accurate information without excessive demands on project staff. Automated reporting gives project managers a standard view of project progress, and extensive on-line inquiry screens and reports provide alternate big picture views and/or detailed transaction lists for further analysis.

A flexible cost code system allows Fox to monitor and control projects against standard and non-standard structures. Where required, we have the ability to track project costs against one or more structured coding systems with little added complexity for the project staff. This allows for review against estimating accuracy as well as trade productivity reviews.

Flexibility of the system gives us the added benefit of implementing customer supplied cost code structures and/or project specific structures at the same time, through exports to standard Excel.

Our Enterprise System includes support for planning and scheduling with tight integration to job costing and payroll. A fully functional scheduling component allows each of our projects to be monitored and tracked with complete confidence that actual production data (based on timesheets) is being automatically updated against our schedules.

Fox is able to monitor small and large projects using our own scheduling systems providing high level views of project status. Currently, our custom scheduling systems are being upgraded to increase our abilities and Fox is committed to ensuring our tools are consistent with our best field and shop practices.

Additionally, we support the use of generally used scheduling software packages like Microsoft Project and Primavera. Our Corporate Primavera database is also Oracle based, which will allow us to further integrate our systems with Primavera. Where customer requirements and/or project requirements dictate, a combination of software packages are selected to ensure success.
